Agree, and I should have pointed out...

...that I have always found the 1984 comparisons to be mostly absurd, wrt specific administrations.

But under the current administration, weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth has been particularly absurd. Just my opinion. Could be wrong, it's been a long time since I read the book and I always preferred Animal Farm.
